Jackson National Life(R) Expands Fixed Index Annuity Offerings; New FIA Products Allow Advisers Flexibility in Meeting Diverse Investor Needs
The addition of Elite Choice and Elite Choice Rewards has expandedJNL's FIA product portfolio to five, with each product linked to theS&P 500(R) Composite Stock Price Index.
"Jackson National Life was one of the first product providers tooffer indexed annuities in the mid-1990s," said Clifford Jack, JNLexecutive vice president and chief distribution officer. "Today, JNLcontinues to be an industry leader in the development ofcustomer-friendly FIA products and the implementation of FIAeducational support programs for advisers. Furthermore, the breadthand depth of JNL's product offering gives advisers the flexibility tochoose an appropriate solution when developing personalized retirementplans for their clients."
The 5-percent up-front bonus available with Elite Choice Rewardsis applied at the beginning of the chosen Index Option period, whichis available in 8-, 10- and 12-year terms. Policy owners will benefitfrom the ability to start compounding interest immediately, not onlyon their deposit amount, but on the up-front bonus as well.
Additionally, JNL now offers an easy-to-understand minimuminterest guarantee of 2 percent on 100 percent of premium for bothElite Choice and Elite Choice Rewards. These contracts also featuretwo new index interest crediting method options - biennial resetpoint-to-point and biennial reset monthly cap. The new options areavailable in conjunction with the annual reset with monthly averagingcrediting method that has previously been offered as a core componentof JNL's Elite Annual Reset contract. Funds can be allocated to one,two or all three crediting methods in any whole percentage, and canlater be reallocated, which ultimately allows advisers to customizeElite Choice and Elite Choice Rewards according to the unique needs oftheir clients.
Elite Annual Reset's 10-percent free withdrawal provision is nowbased on the accumulation value of the contract. Elite Annual Resetalso offers a 10-year Index Option period, replacing the 9-year IndexOption period that was available on the prior version of the contract.These changes do not apply to contracts in Oregon.

"Additionally, we require all non-securitieslicensed advisers who sell Jackson National Life's FIA products tocomplete a certification course, which is part of our ongoingcommitment to educating producers on the intricacies of fixed indexannuities."
In the latest rankings from Advantage Compendium, Jackson NationalLife was the top seller of index annuity products in both the bank andbroker-dealer channels, and ranked 7th in index annuity product salesacross all distribution channels during the third quarter of 2005(1).JNL recorded a company-record $1.1 billion of fixed index annuitysales in 2005, a 43-percent increase over the previous year.
