J & J Snack Foods Reveals 6% Drop In Q3 Earnings

(RTTNews) - J & J Snack Foods (JJSF) reported a profit for third quarter that retreated compared to the same period last year.

The company said its earnings came in at $25.30 million, or $1.34 per share. This was down from $26.79 million, or $1.43 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $1.49 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 6.3% to $295.42 million. This was up from $277.98 million last year.
