Itron Inc. Earnings Rise In Q4

(RTTNews) - Itron Inc. (ITRI) announced a profit for its fourth quarter that rose compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line climbed to $39.79 million, or $1.01 per share. This was higher than $26.41 million, or $0.68 per share, in last year's fourth quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.93 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 11.1% to $550.78 million. This was up from $495.71 million last year.
