ISS, Glass Lewis Recommend To Vote For Coppersmith's Nominees To Alere's Board

(RTTNews) - Coppersmith Capital Management LLC announced that both Institutional Shareholder Services or "ISS" and Glass, Lewis & Co., the two leading independent proxy voting and corporate governance advisory firms, recommend that the stockholders of Alere, Inc. (ALR) vote on Coppersmith's BLUE proxy card for the election of Coppersmith's nominees to Alere's board of directors at the upcoming annual meeting of Alere's stockholders on August 7, 2013.

ISS recommends voting "FOR" all three Coppersmith nominees: Curt Hartman, Theodore Martin and Jerome Lande. Glass, Lewis & Co recommends voting "FOR" Martin and Lande.

Coppersmith Capital also urgeed Alere's stockholders to vote the BLUE proxy card for the election of Coppersmith's three and independent candidates to Alere's Board of Directors.

In a separate press release, Alere urged its stockholders to vote FOR the election of Alere's four new, independent director nominees using the WHITE proxy card.
