ISS And Glass Lewis Recommend Myers Shareholders Vote For Only One GAMCO Nominee

(RTTNews) - Diversified plastics manufacturer Myers Industries, Inc. (MYE) released a statement Monday clarifying that leading proxy advisory firms Institutional Shareholder Services and Glass, Lewis & Co. recommended shareholders vote for only one of GAMCO Asset Management's nominees to the company's Board of Directors.

Myers said each firm recommended a different GAMCO nominee while recommending shareholders vote in line with the company's slate of other directors.

The company said a press release GAMCO issued last week was misleading because it did not explain that only one GAMCO nominee was recommended.

Myers recommends that shareholders vote for the election of all of the company's Board of Directors nominees on the white proxy card at the 2015 Annual Meeting of Shareholders.

(Correction: The headline of a previous RTTNews story incorrectly said ISS and Glass Lewis recommended voting for all three of GAMCO's nominees. That story has subsequently been retracted.)
