Intuit Reversing Changes To TurboTax

(RTTNews) - Intuit, the maker of the popular TurboTax software program, will undo changes to its tax preparation software after a flurry of complaints from customers.

TurboTax had removed Schedules C, D, E and F forms from Deluxe, which some long-time customers had relied on to report business income, investment sales and rental property income.

Users were apparently unsatisfied with last week's offer of a $25 rebate.

Intuit had been asking users to pay for an upgrade to access the same forms, until CEO Brad Smith fully apologized to customers.

"I realize this hasn't been easy on you, and I'm sorry for that," Smith said in a video Thursday night.

Intuit continues to offer a $25 rebate to customers who have already paid for an upgrade.
