Intersil Commits $200,000 to Hurricane Katrina Disaster Relief Efforts with Corporate Gift and Dollar-for-Dollar Employee Donation Match

Intersil Corporation (NASDAQ:ISIL), a world leader inthe design and manufacture of high-performance analog solutions, todayannounced that it has committed $200,000 to relief efforts for victimsof the Hurricane Katrina disaster in New Orleans and the Gulf Coast.The funds represent a combination of a $150,000 corporate gift and anIntersil dollar-for-dollar match of employee gifts up to $50,000.Intersil is partnering with the United Way and the American Red Crossin this effort. The $150,000 corporate gift will be given to theUnited Way in partnership with the American Red Cross.
