International Rectifier Names Alex Garcia Vice President, Compliance

International Rectifier Corporation (NYSE:IRF) today announced the appointment of Alex Garcia as Vice President, Compliance. In this role, Mr. Garcia will oversee International Rectifier’s corporate compliance programs and the internal audit function. He will have the lead role for conducting the Company’s financial, operational and IT audits, maintaining the Company’s Hotline system and enhancing risk management processes and internal governance initiatives. Mr. Garcia will report directly to the Audit Committee of the Company’s Board of Directors and on an organizational basis to the Company’s Chief Administrative Officer, Don Dancer. Mr. Garcia most recently served as Senior Director, Head of Internal Audit at Nvidia Corporation since 2003, where he established and led the semiconductor company’s internal audit function. Prior to Nvidia, Mr. Garcia was the Director of Internal Audit at BEA Systems since 2000. He also spent four years in several financial reporting and internal audit roles in levels of increasing responsibility at Hewlett Packard.
