InterContinental Hotels Group Continues Expansion of Holiday Inn Express Hotels in Latin America with Latest Opening in Puerto Montt, Chile

Committed to Brand Expansion in Latin America, IHG Marks Its 29th Hotel Opening for Holiday Inn Brand in the Region and IHG's 8th Property In Chile

InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) (LSE:IHG) (NYSE:IHG) (ADRs),the world's largest hotel group by number of rooms, continues theexpansion of its Holiday Inn brand in Latin America with the openingof a 105-room 11-story Holiday Inn Express in Puerto Montt, Chile, oneof South America's most scenic southern cities on the Pacific Ocean.

Situated directly on the ocean in the heart of the city's shoppingdistrict, Mall Paseo Costanera, the Holiday Inn Express Puerto Montt,is the 29th hotel opening for the Holiday Inn brand in Latin America.It is also the seventh Holiday Inn Express property to open under afranchise agreement with Talbot S.A.

Puerto Montt, known for its rich natural beauty, has a populationof over 110,000 that is mostly Chilean but have ancestry that camefrom Germany or Spain. Their influence can be seen through the city'sbeautiful architecture and exotic cuisine. Visitors of Puerto Monttcan enjoy several artisans' fairs throughout the year as well as thestunning National Parks, such as Vicente Perez Rosales National Parkwith its unforgettable Cruce de Lagos (Lakes Crossing), and AlerceAndino National Park with its ancient larches.
