ICU Medical Posts Lower Q3 Profit; Boosts FY14 Outlook

(RTTNews) - ICU Medical, Inc., (ICUI) reported net income for the third quarter of $6.4 million or $0.42 per share, compared to $11.0 million or $0.72 per share for the year-ago quarter.

Excluding items,adjusted earnings per share for the third quarter was $0.66, compared to $0.84 in the third quarter of 2013.

Third quarter revenue fell to $77.5 million from $82.8 million in the same quarter last year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.48 per share on revenue of $73.03 million for the third quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

For the full year 2014, the company now expects revenue of $304 million to $307 million, earnings of $1.62 to $1.70 per share and adjusted earnings of $2.25 to $2.33 per share. Previously, the company expected revenue of $285 million to $300 million. earnings of $1.30 to $1.45 per share and adjusted earnings of $1.95 to $2.15 per share. Analysts currently expect the company to earn $2.06 per share on revenue of $297.40 million for the full year 2014.
