HTC Reportedly To Hire Former Samsung U.S. Marketing Executive

(RTTNews) - Taiwanese smartphone maker HTC Corp. (HTCXF.PK) to hire Paul Golden, former head of marketing at Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd.'s (SSNLF.PK) (SSNNF.PK) U.S. mobile phone unit, as adviser to its Chairman, the Bloomberg reported, citing people familiar with the matter.

HTC had recruited Paul Golden as a contractor within the past few weeks and it is said that he reports directly to Chairman Cher Wang.

Golden worked for Samsung from 2008 to 2012. Bloomberg says his long-term role at HTC hasn't been decided with Golden initially recruited on a 3-month contract.
