Hittite Microwave Q2 Profit Rises; Issues Q3 Outlook

(RTTNews) - Hittite Microwave Corp. (HITT) reported net income for the second quarter of $18.0 million or $0.58 per share, compared to $17.2 million or $0.56 per share in the year-ago quarter.

Revenue for the latest second quarter rose 4.9% to $68.61 million from $65.39 million in the comparable quarter last year.

On average, analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.56 per share on revenue of $67.72 million for the second quarter.

Looking forward to the third quarter, the company expects net income of $16.7 million to $17.7 million, or $0.54 to $0.57 per share and revenue of $66.5 million to $68.5 million. Analysts currently expect the company to earn $0.58 per share on revenue of $70.38 million for the third quarter.
