Hitachi Announces New Executive Officer and the Management Changes

Hitachi, Ltd. (NYSE:HIT) (TOKYO:6501) today announcedthe management changes in accordance with the determination made bythe Board of Directors meeting held today and by the authorizedexecutive officer. The appointment is scheduled for August 1, 2005.
