Himax Technologies Q4 Profit Declines

(RTTNews) - Himax Technologies, Inc. (HIMX), a supplier of semiconductor products, Thursday reported fourth-quarter net income attributable to shareholders of $15.6 million or $0.091 per ADS, down from $15.8 million or $0.092 per ADS a year earlier.

Non-GAAP net income totaled $16.1 million or $0.094 per ADS, compared with $16.6 million or $0.097 per ADS a year ago.

On average, seven analysts polled by Thomson-Reuters estimated the company's earnings to be $0.09 for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude one-time items.

Net revenues increased by 16.4 percent to $227.18 million, from $197.23 million last year. Analysts expected revenues of $225.05 million for the quarter.

For the first quarter, the company expects earnings of 7.0 to 8.5 cents per ADS, adjusted earnings of 7.3 to 8.8 cents per ADS and net revenues to be down 15-22 percent. Analysts expect first-quarter earnings of $0.09 on revenues of $216.74 million.
