Hill-Rom Q4 Profit Beats Estimates - Quick Facts
(RTTNews) - Hill-Rom Holdings, Inc. (HRC) reported that its fourth-quarter net income decreased to $35.3 million or $0.59 per share, from $39.2 million or $0.63 per share, last year. Adjusted earnings per share was $0.65 for the quarter.
On average, nine analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report profit per share of $0.61 for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
Revenue was $438 million, a 1 percent increase compared to last year on both a reported and constant currency basis. Excluding the impact of Aspen, revenue was essentially flat compared to the prior period, the company said. Analysts expected revenue of $438.80 million for the quarter.
The company expects its full year 2014 adjusted earnings per share to be $2.43 to $2.51, which exclude approximately $0.31 of acquisition-related intangible amortization expense. Hill-Rom expects full year 2014 revenue growth of approximately 1 percent and first quarter revenue to decline approximately 5 percent to 6 percent in constant currency. Analysts expect the company to report full year 2014 profit per share of $2.22.
The company expects its first-quarter adjusted earnings per share to be $0.50 to $0.52, which exclude approximately $0.08 of acquisition-related intangible amortization expense. Analysts expect the company to report first-quarter profit per share of $0.51.
