Hershey Co. Reveals 2% Advance In Q3 Profit

(RTTNews) - Hershey Co. (HSY) reported earnings for its third quarter that gained ground compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line advanced to $283.65 million, or $1.33 per share. This was higher than $277.35 million, or $1.29 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $1.29 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 1.5% to $2.03 billion. This was up from $2.00 billion last year.
