Hershey Co. Q2 Income Rises 6%

(RTTNews) - Hershey Co. (HSY) released earnings for its second quarter that rose from last year.

The company said its bottom line totaled $182.61 million, or $0.85 per share. This was higher than $171.94 million, or $0.78 per share, in last year's second quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.78 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 3.8% to $1.64 billion. This was up from $1.58 billion last year.
