Harris Corp. Gets $1.7 Bln Foreign Military Contract For Tactical Communication

(RTTNews) - Harris Corp. (HRS) said it has received a five-year, $1.7 billion ceiling, single-award follow-on IDIQ contract from the U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command or CECOM to supply secure tactical communication solutions. The contract was awarded under the Foreign Military Sales or FMS program and was received during the fourth quarter of Harris' 2016 fiscal year.

Under the contract, Harris will supply a wide range of secure radio communications, tactical communication networks and embedded high-grade encryption solutions spanning Harris' entire tactical communications offerings.
