H&R Block To Recruit Tax Professionals At Latino Connections Event
H&R Block, the world’s largest tax
services provider, will host a job fair from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on
Saturday, Nov. 3, as part of its Latino Connections event at the Belmont
Assembly of God Church, 6050 W. Belmont Ave., in Chicago.
Anyone interested in learning more about employment opportunities with
H&R Block is encouraged to attend. Information about the H&R Block
Income Tax Course will be available at the job fair.
The class includes 69 hours of instruction and generally meets two or
three times a week for three hours. H&R Block offers the course in
English, as well as a bilingual course in Spanish. Multiple class
locations are offered, and course schedules are flexible so students can
take the course without sacrificing existing work, school or family
schedules.
The H&R Block Income Tax Course is designed to help participants learn
about basic and complex tax situations. From identifying the correct
filing status and number of dependents, to learning how to qualify for
deductions related to self-employment and alternative-energy vehicle
purchases, the course educates participants on the tax-preparation
process.
New Job Skills
Students will discover that their new skills possibly can open the door
to a new career that puts the skills they’ll
acquire during the classes to good use – like
working at H&R Block.
"This course appeals to a wide-range of
people, from those with accounting backgrounds to stay-at-home moms
wanting to earn additional income, to people who simply want to ensure
they’re claiming all the tax benefits they’re
eligible for,” said H&R Block Division Human
Resources Director Patricia Carl. "Whether you’re
interested in preparing your own taxes or becoming an H&R Block tax
professional, these classes offer something for everyone.”
Enrollment or completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course is neither
an offer nor guarantee of employment, and enrollment restrictions apply.
See enrollment form for details. To learn more about enrolling in the
