Goodrich Announces New Roles for Senior Executives
CHARLOTTE, N.C., Dec. 18 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Goodrich Corporation today appointed several senior executives to new roles. Scott Kuechle, formerly Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, is promoted to Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. John Grisik, Executive Vice President, Operational Excellence and Technology is retiring from the company, effective March 31, 2008. Jerry Witowski, formerly Segment President, Electronic Systems, will succeed Grisik as Executive Vice President, Operational Excellence and Technology. Curtis Reusser, formerly President of Goodrich's Aerostructures division, will succeed Witowski as Segment President, Electronic Systems. Witowski, Reusser and Kuechle will report to Marshall Larsen, Chairman, President and CEO. The appointments are effective Jan. 1, 2008.
According to Larsen, "Scott's promotion recognizes his accomplishments since being appointed Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in 2005, as well as his experience in a variety of finance roles in his 24 years with Goodrich. As part of Scott's promotion, his role has been expanded to include information technology."
Kuechle, a 24-year Goodrich veteran, has served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer since 2005. He started his career at Goodrich as a Financial Analyst and held several subsequent management positions of increasing responsibility in Finance and Accounting. In 1994, he was promoted to Director of Finance and Banking and became Vice President and Treasurer in 1998. He was appointed Vice President and Controller in 2004.
Commenting on Grisik's retirement, Larsen added, "John has made a tremendous contribution to Goodrich during his 16 years with the company. After joining Goodrich as General Manager of our Ice Protection Systems business he held roles of increasing responsibility including Segment President of both our Airframe Systems and Electronic Systems segments. As Executive Vice President, Operational Excellence and Technology, John has led the drive to make continuous improvement a way of life at Goodrich and has brought enterprise focus to the critical initiatives of supply chain management and technology. I am pleased to bring Jerry's experience and perspective to this important area."
Witowski joined Goodrich's Sensor Systems division in 1978 where he held positions of increasing responsibility including Vice President and General Manager of the division's commercial transport and test systems business. In 2001 Witowski was appointed President of the division. In March 2006 he was appointed Segment President, Electronic Systems.
Commenting on Reusser's appointment, Larsen said, "Curtis' experience leading Aerostructures, our largest business unit, combined with his knowledge of both manufacturing and aftermarket and his background in engineering, will provide a solid foundation as he leads our Electronic Systems segment. His appointment is another example of the effectiveness of our talent management process."
Reusser joined Goodrich in 1988 when it acquired TRAMCO, where he was Manager of Engineering. He held roles of increasing responsibility in Goodrich's Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) operations before being appointed General Manager of Goodrich MRO Europe based in the UK. He returned to the U.S. as Vice President and General Manager, Product and Process Definition at the company's Aerostructures division in 1999. He has served as President of the Aerostructures division since 2002. Prior to joining Goodrich, Reusser worked in engineering roles at General Dynamics and Heath Tecna. He holds a Bachelor of Industrial Engineering from the University of Washington and a Certificate in Business Management from the University of San Diego.
Greg Peters, formerly Vice President/General Manager Operations and Airbus Programs of Goodrich's Aerostructures division, succeeds Reusser as President of that division. In Peters' new role he reports to Cindy Egnotovich, Segment President, Nacelles and Interior Systems.
According to Egnotovich, "Greg's experience in positions of increasing responsibility in his 21 years at Aerostructures, combined with his expertise in continuous improvement, will serve him well as he assumes his new role leading the business."
Peters joined Goodrich when it merged with Rohr, Inc. in 1997, and Rohr became the company's Aerostructures division. He has held positions of increasing responsibility and was appointed to his most recent position of President/General Manager Operations and Airbus Programs in 2002. Prior to joining Goodrich, Peters worked for General Electric for 17 years in manufacturing leadership roles. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Oregon State University and a Master of Business Administration from Duke University.
