Global Payments' Chairman, Paul R. Garcia, Named One of America's Best CEO's by Institutional Investor Magazine
ATLANTA, Feb. 13 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Global Payments Inc. , a leader in payment processing services, announced today that one of the foremost investment magazines, Institutional Investor, named its Chairman, President and CEO, Paul R. Garcia, one of "The Best CEOs in America." The publication divided the rankings into 62 industry sectors, of which Garcia was ranked the number one CEO of the "Technology: Computer Services and IT Consulting" firms. This is the fourth annual ranking published and the second year in a row that Garcia was named to the list.

According to Institutional Investor, the designees were chosen based on input from more than 1,300 analysts and portfolio managers at more than 400 money management firms, who are collectively responsible for investing $5.5 trillion. Each was asked, "Who is the best CEO in the sector (or sectors) for which you are responsible?" The same question was also posed to every brokerage firm analyst who received votes in Institutional Investor's 2005 All-America Research Team rankings. Of those, an additional 400 provided their input. According to the magazine, in order to make the rankings, The Best CEOs ... "must be visionary leaders, possess great integrity and deliver superior results ... " among other credentials.
