Global Cash Completes $1.2 Bln Acquisition Of Multimedia Games

(RTTNews) - Global Cash Access Inc, a subsidiary of Global Cash Access Holdings Inc (GCA), on Friday said it completed the $1.2 billion acquisition of Multimedia Games Holding Co Inc. The deal is expected to immediately add to GCA's earnings.

"Today marks a great milestone as two organizations, with differentiated product and service offerings, unite to create a full-service solution for casino operators to optimize cash-to-the-floor solutions with player-proven slot gaming products that focus on retaining and acquiring new casino players," said Ram Chary, CEO of GCA.

The company will remain headquartered in Las Vegas, NV, and will continue to leverage MGAM's existing technology and manufacturing facilities in Austin, TX.

Global Cash Access provides cash access services and related equipment and services to the gaming industry. Austin, Texas-based Multimedia Games develops gaming technology.
