Giant Interactive Group Q4 Profit Up - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Giant Interactive Group, Inc. (GA) Wednesday reported fourth-quarter profit of 203.6 million Chinese yuan or 0.82 yuan per share, up from 82.69 million yuan or 0.34 yuan per share in the same period last year. In U.S dollars, earnings amounted to $33.6 million or $0.14 per share.

Adjusted earnings for the quarter were 437.3 million yuan, or $72.2 million. On a per-share basis, adjusted earnings were 1.76 yuan, or $0.29. On average, six analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.23 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Revenues increased to 604.56 million yuan, or $99.87 million, from 571.67 million yuan last year. Analysts expected revenues of $99.39 million.
