Fidelity & Guaranty Life Names Dennis Vigneau SVP, CFO

(RTTNews) - Fidelity & Guaranty Life (FGL), the parent company of Fidelity & Guaranty Life Insurance Co., announced Monday that Dennis Vigneau has joined the firm as Senior Vice President and will assume the position of Chief Financial Officer, effective February 12.

Vigneau, the former Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President of Kemper Corp. (KMPR), succeeds Wendy JB Young, currently Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, who will become Chief Risk Officer.

JB Young assumes her new role from John O'Shaughnessy, who will continue to serve in his capacity as Senior Vice President and Chief Actuary.

Vigneau, 47, worked with Kemper from November 2010 to March 15, 2013. Previously, he served as a senior financial executive of American Life Insurance Co.

Lee Launer, President and Chief Executive Officer of FGL, said, "Dennis has extensive experience as a public-company CFO in the insurance sector and will be a great asset as we embark on the next phase of our growth and development as a public company."

Fidelity & Guaranty Life shares closed Monday's trading at $19.75, down $0.10 or 0.50 percent.
