FedEx Corporation Q3 Profit Increases, But Misses Estimates

(RTTNews) - FedEx Corporation (FDX) revealed earnings for its third quarter that increased from last year but missed the Street estimates.

The company's earnings totaled $0.91 billion, or $3.76 per share. This compares with $0.88 billion, or $3.51 per share, last year.

Excluding items, FedEx Corporation reported adjusted earnings of $1.09 billion or $4.51 per share for the period.

Analysts on average had expected the company to earn $4.63 per share. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company's revenue for the period rose 2.3% to $22.2 billion from $21.7 billion last year.
