Exponent Names Catherine Ford Corrigan CEO And President

(RTTNews) - Exponent, Inc. (EXPO), an engineering and scientific consulting firm, announced late Thursday that its Board of Directors intends to appoint President Catherine Ford Corrigan, 49, as its Chief Executive Officer and President.

The appointment will be made at its board meeting following the annual shareholder meeting on May 31, 2018. Exponent's current Chief Executive Officer, Paul Johnston, 64, is expected to become Chairman of the Board of Directors at that time.

Johnston will also continue in an executive role to assist in the transition, on a half-time basis for twelve months. He was COO between 2003 and 2009 and as CEO since then.

Exponent's current Chairman of the Board of Directors, Michael Gaulke, 72, is planning to retire and will not stand for re-election in 2018. Additionally, Exponent's Board of Directors intends to appoint John Shoven, 70, as Lead Independent Director in May.

Corrigan joined Exponent 21 years ago and has assumed increasingly responsible positions over time. Most recently as President, she is responsible for management of all of the Company's consulting groups and business development activities.
