Etisalat Group Signs Deal With CommScope For Network Modernization

(RTTNews) - Telecom firm Etisalat Group has Wednesday signed an international frame agreement with infrastructure vendor CommScope Holding Co. (COMM) to provide its best-in-class wireless solutions to Etisalat's operations.

CommScope is a global provider of connectivity and essential infrastructure solutions for wireless, business enterprise and residential broadband networks.

The deal will see CommScope supplying base station antennas, filters, high quality coaxial cables and connectors and other radio frequency (RF) network solutions to Etisalat. It will create a clear path for network modernization for Etisalat in the region, addressing demands on the network and contributing to the overall customer experience.

The agreement positions Dubai-based Etisalat to upgrade its wireless networks and deploy new technologies across the Middle East and Africa, including LTE in selected markets.

Etisalat's operating companies span the Middle East, Asia and Africa and are at various stages of information and communications technology development. These operations will greatly benefit from access to CommScope's top-of-the-line solutions.
