EMBARQ(TM) Names David Bartlett Vice President of Federal Government Affairs

OVERLAND PARK, Kan., July 24 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Today, Embarq Corporation , the fifth largest local communications company in the country, named David Bartlett vice president of Federal Government Affairs and head of the company's Washington, D.C. office. The office is expected to open in early August.

When Bartlett joins the company next month, he will oversee all issues on Capitol Hill and before the Federal Communications Commission as they affect EMBARQ. Bartlett brings crucial regulatory and legislative expertise to EMBARQ from his years of work in the communications industry.
