Blaubeuren, January, 8th, 2016 As part of the closing of the purchase agreement that was concluded in December, Sol Futura Verwaltungsgesellschaft mbH has today transferred its 80 % interest in the shares of centrotherm photovoltaics AG to Solarpark Blautal GmbH, Blaubeuren. Solarpark Blautal has thereby become the new majority shareholder of centrotherm photovoltaics AG. Along with centrotherm co-founder Robert M. Hartung, Qatar Solar Technologies (Doha/Qatar) hold a significant interest in Solarpark Blautal.
Dr. Khalid Al Hajri, Chairman and CEO of Qatar Solar Technologies, notes: "Photovoltaics is one of the most important and exciting industries in the world right now, and is deriving a special impetus from the global agreement on reduction of climate change concluded in Paris. With our interest in centrotherm, QSTec expands along the solar value chain.
