Bad Oeynhausen, 4 February 2016 - Balda AG has accepted the purchase offer of Italian Stevanato Group for the entire operating business and is currently preparing closing. Stevanato had handed in their binding offer on 29 January 2016 at the extraordinary AGM. They had increased their offer from the original purchasing price of EUR 80 million to EUR 95 million in the context of a bidding war.

Because of joint development projects with the Stevanato-brand Ompi in the past we were able to get to know the impressive corporate culture of the family business and their extensive product portfolio. We see many similarities. Not least because of this I am convinced that Balda - under the roof of family owned and run Stevanato - will be able to develop dynamically and has thus the best future prospects", explains Oliver Oechsle, sole Management Board member of Balda Group.
