Munich, Germany, 12 August 2016 -As previously announced Tantalus Rare Earths AG and Apphia Minerals SOF PTE. Ltd. entered into the first Sale and Purchase Agreement ("Agreement") on 8 December 2015. All the conditions for completion set forth in the Agreement, including the approval by Tantalus' shareholders and payment of the purchase price, have now been fulfilled and 60 percent of the shares in Tantalum Holding (Mauritius) Limited have been transferred to Apphia.

According to the second Sale and Purchase Agreement between Tantalus Rare Earths AG and Apphia Minerals SOF PTE the remaining 40 percent of the shares in Tantalum Holding (Mauritius) Limited will be transferred to Apphia after certain further conditions have been fulfilled.

About Tantalus Rare Earths AG Tantalus Rare Earths AG (ISIN DE000A1MMFF4) is a Germany-based company that has been engaged in the development of rare earths in Madagascar. As previously announced the Company has agreed to sell the said rare earths development project. Tantalus's shares are quoted on the 'Primärmarkt' of the Düsseldorf Stock Exchange.
