DeVry University Opens Paramus Center

DeVry University, one of North America’s largest degree-granting higher education institutions for business, technology and management education, has opened a new center in Paramus, continuing its educational commitment to the state of New Jersey.

Located at 35 Plaza, Suite 102, 81 East State Route 4, DeVry University’s Paramus Center is situated in the heart of the city's commercial center, with easy access to major area highways. DeVry University’s Paramus Center serves students who live and work in Bergen County and the surrounding area with undergraduate degree programs in some of today's fastest-growing career fields.

DeVry University’s Paramus Center offers undergraduate degree programs in Business Administration, Computer Information Systems, Electronic Computer Technology, Network and Communications Management, as well as Technical Management. The Paramus Center offers courses year-round, allowing students to earn a bachelor’s degree in as few as three years, and an associate degree in as few as two years. DeVry University is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association.

DeVry University offers a quality career-oriented education, with real-world practitioner faculty enabling its students to step right from the classroom into the professional world. Because of its location in a thriving business community which is home to major employers in technology, electronics, finance and healthcare, DeVry University’s Paramus Center provides students with access to possible career opportunities in a wide variety of industries.

State Sen. Bob Gordon from the 38th District welcomed the new Center in a letter to Chris Grevesen, PhD., president of DeVry University’s New Jersey Metro. Sen. Gordon commended DeVry, stating, "With the ever-increasing demand by employers for a skilled and well-educated work force in the area of technology, the growth and expansion of institutions such as DeVry University is essential.”

System-wide, 92 percent of DeVry’s June ’07, October ’07 and February ’08 graduates in the active job market were employed in their fields within six months of graduation at an average salary of $44,000.

Students who attend the Paramus Center can also take courses at DeVry University’s North Brunswick campus, as well as online. With this flexibility and convenience, students can individualize their studies by taking classes close to their job or home, or online - whatever best fits their schedule and lifestyle.
