Copa Holdings October Traffic, Capacity, Load Factor Rise - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Panama-based airline company Copa Holdings, S.A. (CPA) Tuesday reported increases in traffic, capacity and load factor for the month of October.

System-wide passenger traffic, expressed in revenue passenger miles or RPM, increased 9.4 percent to 1.19 billion from 1.09 billion.

Capacity, measured in available seat miles or ASMs, increased 9.2 percent to 1.6 billion from 1.46 billion. As a result, system load factor for October was 74.3 percent, up 0.1 percentage point from last year's 74.2 percent.

International passenger traffic grew 10.8 percent, while capacity increased 10.5 percent and load factor was 74.2 percent, a 0.2 percentage point increase from last year. International capacity represented 96.8 percent of total capacity for the month.

Domestic traffic, represented wholly by Colombian domestic service, decreased 20.1 percent, while capacity decreased 20.3 percent. Domestic load factor increased 0.3 percentage points to 79.0 percent.
