CME Group Q3 Profit Rises - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Futures exchange operator CME Group Inc (CME) Thursday reported third-quarter net income attributable to the company of $290.0 million or $0.86 per share, up from $236.7 million or $0.71 per share in the prior year.

Excluding items, adjusted earnings per share were $0.84 for the recent quarter.

On average, 16 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.83 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Total revenues for the quarter rose to $762.4 million from $714.6 million a year ago, while 15 analysts estimated revenues of $764.99 million.

CME Group expects full-year 2014 adjusted operating expenses to be approximately $1.3 billion, at the low-end of the previously stated range.
