Citrix Synergy 2008 is Revamped as the Premiere Event Where Virtualization, Networking and Application Delivery Meet

Citrix Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq:CTXS), the global leader in application delivery infrastructure, today announced the evolution of its annual conference. What began a decade ago as Citrix iForum™, a gathering for passionate Citrix users, has been transformed into Citrix Synergy™ 2008, the all-new industry conference where virtualization, networking and application delivery meet. This year’s event will take place May 20 to May 23 at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston. Citrix Synergy offers the content of four industry events packaged together in a single registration: iForum User Conference remains an important element of Citrix Synergy. During this conference track attendees will continue to uncover technical insights, tips and tricks, and best practices from Citrix about the products in its portfolio. Key elements include technical sessions, customer case studies, demos, hands-on labs, and much more. Application Delivery Industry Track and Expo will focus on how to make everything work together – from the data center to the desktop. Content in this track will not be specific to Citrix, but will bring together customers, partners, industry analysts, and other vendors to provide a full perspective on application delivery. Highlights include architectural best practices, technical sessions on hot topics such as virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI), an Answers Pavilion where experts will take live questions and an expo filled with leading industry vendors, including Microsoft, CSC, HP and others. IT 2.0 Business Symposium is a track designed exclusively for CIOs that combines the most critical C-level strategy and networking sessions into a single day. This track includes a private CIO reception, access to industry analysts from firms such as Gartner and IDC, and strategic sessions on virtualization, networking and application delivery. Geek Speak Live! is the ultimate "unconference” for industry tech geeks, analysts and bloggers, where participants will choose the topics and run the sessions. It’s an informal forum for sharing ideas and learning from other attendees. Attendees can benefit by attending a single track, or by combining sessions from the various tracks to custom-build a conference to suit their individual needs. With insights from a wide range of industry luminaries, solutions from leading vendors, and shared experiences from Citrix customers, attendees will see a quick return on this investment of their time.
