Cincinnati Financial Q3 Profit Rises - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Cincinnati Financial Corp. (CINF) Thursday reported third-quarter profit of $131 million or $0.79 per share, up from $111 million or $0.68 per share in the same quarter last year.

Operating income for the quarter was $116 million or $0.70 per share. On average, six analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.63 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Revenues improved 11 percent to $1.15 billion from $1.04 billion last year. Analysts expected revenues of $1.12 billion.

Earned premiums totaled $992 million, up 12 percent from $889 million last year.
