Chipotle Giving Away Lots Of Food And Drink In September
(RTTNews) - Chipotle Mexican Grill (CMG) is giving away free food and drinks this September as the restaurant chain still struggles to boost its sales that has been sluggish after outbreaks of E.coli, salmonella and norovirus at its restaurants.
The chain is offering free kids meals every Sunday in September with the in-store purchase of a burrito, bowl, tacos, or salad. However, free kid's meal offer is valid only for kids 12-and-under.
Customers with a student ID who purchase a burrito, bowl, tacos, or salad at the Chipotle can receive a free fountain drink or iced tea this September. Free drinks do not include bottled drinks, beer or margaritas and is limited to one free drink per customer.
Chipotle is struggling with a sales slump caused by a series of food-related disease outbreaks and has been trying new avenues to woo back customers to its outlets. The company, a burrito and tacos chain, was spun off from McDonald's in 2006.
