ChipMOS Profit Tops Estimate

(RTTNews) - ChipMOS Technologies (Bermuda) Ltd (IMOS), a provider of outsourced semiconductor assembly and test services, Wednesday reported third-quarter net earnings of $18.8 million or $0.62 per share compared with $14.5 million or $0.48 per share last year.

Revenues for the quarter were $190.7 million compared with $177.8 million in the prior year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated earnings of $0.55 per share on revenues of $190 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

For the fourth quarter, the company expects revenues to be flat to down in the low single digits, compared with the sequential third quarter.

Analysts expect revenues of $185.3 million for the quarter.
