Carlisle Q3 Profit Rises - Quick Facts
(RTTNews) - Carlisle Companies Inc. (CSL), a diversified manufacturing company, Tuesday reported higher earnings for the third quarter, helped by increase in net sales. Net income rose to $87.3 million or $1.32 per share, from $76.6 million or $1.17 per share, a year ago.
Earnings per share from continuing operations improved to $1.31 from $1.02, primarily driven by higher sales volume in all segments and savings from the Carlisle Operating System. On average, 7 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected earnings of $1.21 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items. Quarterly sales grew to $904.1 million from $796.8 million last year, while analysts were looking for revenue of $866.38 million. Looking ahead for the full year, the firm continues to plan for high single-digit percentage sales growth as well as higher EBIT and EBIT margin expansion.
