Bruker Q2 Adj. Profit Tops View - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Bruker Corp. (BRKR) on Wednesday reported second quarter net income attributable to the company of $16.4 million or $0.10 per share, compared to $22.9 million or $0.14 per share a year ago.

On an adjusted basis, Bruker's earnings for the quarter were $34.9 million or $0.21 per share, up from $29.9 million or $0.18 per share in the comparable quarter last year. On average, sixteen analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected earnings of $0.19 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude one-time items.

Bruker's revenues for the latest second quarter grew to $457.4 million from $454.9 million in the corresponding quarter last year, while 15 analysts had a consensus revenue estimate of $457.90 million for the quarter.

For fiscal 2014, Bruker now expects non-GAAP earnings to be in a range between $0.78 and $0.81, down from its previous range of $0.85 to $0.88. Analysts now expect earnings of $0.88 per share.

The company now expects its full year 2014 reported revenues to grow year-over-year between 1 and 2 percent, compared to its previous guidance of 3 to 4 percent growth. Analysts currently expect revenue of 4.00%.
