Boyd Gaming Results Surpass Estimates

(RTTNews) - Boyd Gaming Corp (BYD) on Thursday reported fourth-quarter net loss of $32.4 million or $0.29 per share compared with a loss of $47.3 million or $0.43 per share last year.

Results for the latest quarter included impairment charges of $40.6 million. Excluding items, the company reported adjusted earnings of $0.1 million or breakeven per share compared with a loss of $26.4 million or $0.24 per share a year ago.

Boyd, which operates gaming entertainment properties, reported quarterly revenues of $531.6 million compared with $681.5 million in the prior year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated a loss of $0.05 per share on revenues of $527.6 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

For the full year 2015, the company expects adjusted EBITDA of $535 million to $560 million.
