Bloomberg: Toyota Agrees To Add Android Auto In Its Cars

(RTTNews) - Toyota Motor Corp. (TM) agreed to add Android Auto to its vehicles, the Bloomberg reported, citing person familiar with the matter, ending years of resistance to the Google infotainment software due to safety and security concerns.

The report noted that the announcement could come as early as October. The people didn't want to be identified discussing information that isn't yet public.

A Toyota spokesperson reportedly said that the carmaker acknowledges demand for Android Auto and that direct connection is something the company is considering, declining to comment beyond that. Google declined to comment.
