BioMarin Pharma Q3 Loss Widens - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc. (BMRN) Thursday said third-quarter loss widened to $53.0 million or $0.38 per share from $5.4 million or $0.04 per share in the same period last year.

On average, 20 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report a loss of $0.30 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Revenues improved 6.9 percent to $136.9 million from $128.1 million last year. Analysts expected revenues of $140.04 million.

Looking ahead to the fiscal 2013, the company currently projects revenues in the range of $530 million to $555 million. Analysts currently expect full-year revenues of $550.92 million.
