Arrow Electronics Buys RBC

(RTTNews) - Arrow Electronics Inc (ARW) on Monday said it has acquired RDC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Computacenter UK Ltd. The purchase price is £56M (about $84 million based on current exchange rates).

RDC, based in Essex, United Kingdom, is a technology returns and asset management company in Europe. The company manages the entire IT asset disposition and remarketing process including logistical management of collections, technical processing and secure data eradication or destruction, and remarketing of the assets. In 2014, RDC had sales of £56 million.

As part of the transaction Arrow Electronics has entered into a five-year operating agreement with Computacenter for IT disposal services, which remain a part of Computacenter's customer proposition.
