ARM Q4 Profit Climbs, Ups Dividend; Sees FY16 Dollar Revenues Inline With View

(RTTNews) - UK-based chipmaker ARM Holdings Plc. (ARM.L, ARMH) reported Wednesday that its fourth-quarter profit before tax, on IFRS basis, was 113.7 million pounds, 24 percent higher than last year's 91.4 million pounds.

Earnings per share were 6.5 pence, 26 percent higher than last year.

Normalized pre-tax profit was 138.7 million pounds, compared to 118.9 million pounds last year.

Group revenues grew 19 percent to 407.9 million pounds from 357.6 million pounds a year ago. In US dollar basis, revenues went up 14 percent to $269.1 million.

Further, the company said its Directors recommended a final dividend increase of 25 percent to 5.63p, giving total dividend for 2015 of 8.78 pence per share, an increase of 25 percent.

Looking ahead, the company expects Group dollar revenues for the full year to be broadly in line with market expectations, based on current conditions in the semiconductor market.

ARM said it enters 2016 with a robust opportunity pipeline for licensing helped by the introduction of new ARM technologies and expanding market opportunities.
