American Water Profit Tops Estimates; Reaffirms FY Guidance

(RTTNews) - American Water Works Co Inc (AWK) on Wednesday reported second-quarter net earnings of $123.1 million or $0.68 per share compared with $109.3 million or $0.61 per share last year.

Revenues for the quarter were $782.1 million compared with $754.8 million in the prior year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated earnings of $0.67 per share on revenues of $799.7 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

For the full year, the company still expects earnings from continuing operations of $2.55 to $2.65 per share, while analysts expect $2.61 per share.
