Ameren Corp Reports 35% Drop In Q4 Earnings

(RTTNews) - Ameren Corp (AEE) reported earnings for fourth quarter that declined compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line fell to $30 million, or $0.12 per share. This was lower than $46 million, or $0.19 per share, in last year's fourth quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.16 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter fell 4.4% to $1.31 billion. This was down from $1.37 billion last year.
