Amdocs Receives INTERNET TELEPHONY(R) Magazine's 'Product of the Year' Award for 2005
ST. LOUIS, Feb. 8 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Amdocs , the leading provider of software and services to enable integrated customer management and the intentional customer experience(TM), announced today that the Amdocs IP Convergence Solution for IPTV was named "2005 Product of the Year" by Technology Marketing Corporation (TMC(R))'s INTERNET TELEPHONY(R) magazine (http://www.itmag.com/). INTERNET TELEPHONY has been the VoIP Authority Since 1998(TM).
The Amdocs IP Convergence Solution for IPTV incorporates the Amdocs billing, CRM, ordering, payment mediation, and self service products, combined with consulting and systems integration services. By integrating these products into one comprehensive solution, carriers can provide a seamless experience whether customers order a video on demand through the on-screen interface or log a service complaint via the Web.
"The telecommunications industry is undergoing massive change as a result of convergence and consolidation," said Michael Matthews, chief marketing officer of Amdocs. "To compete, service providers need to transform themselves into entertainment and communications companies and introduce a variety of new IP-based services. To be successful in that transformation, communications service providers must create a customer experience that is intentional and consistent, building loyalty and customer profitability."
"Each year INTERNET TELEPHONY magazine bestows its Product of the Year awards on companies that have demonstrated excellence in technological advancement and application refinements. Amdocs has demonstrated to the editors of INTERNET TELEPHONY that its products or services are committed to quality and innovation while addressing the real needs in the marketplace," said Rich Tehrani, Group Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of INTERNET TELEPHONY.
