Alliant Energy Profit Tops Estimates

(RTTNews) - Alliant Energy Corp (NT) on Wednesday reported second-quarter net earnings of $67.6 million or $0.60 per share compared with $61.8 million or $0.56 per share last year.

Excluding items, adjusted earnings for the quarter were $0.67 per share.

Revenues for the quarter were $717.2 million compared with $750.3 million in the prior year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated earnings of $0.60 per share on revenues of $711 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

For the full year 2015, the company still expects earnings of $3.45 to $3.75 per share, while analysts expect $3.63 per share.
