Alliance One Int'l. CFO Robert Sheets To Retire - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Alliance One International, Inc. (AOI) said that Robert Sheets, Executive Vice President - Chief Financial Officer and Chief Administrative Officer, would be retiring from the firm after over 15 years of service. Sheets is relinquishing his role as Chief Financial Officer or CFO, effective December 31, 2013, but would remain as Executive Vice President - Chief Administrative Officer for a transition period. Meanwhile, Joel Thomas, currently Vice President - Treasurer, is being promoted to the role of Executive Vice President - Chief Financial Officer, effective January 1, 2014.

In December 2005, Thomas joined Alliance One as Vice President - Treasurer and has been instrumental in leading the company's Treasury function since the merger of Standard Commercial Corp. and Dimon, Inc., in May 2005. Earlier to joining the company, Thomas worked for Wachovia Securities for 10 years in their investment banking group.

Additionally, the company has promoted Nichlas Fink to the role of Vice President - Corporate Controller and Chief Compliance Officer. Fink has served as the company's Chief Compliance Officer since April 2012, and earlier served as its Director of Corporate Compliance since October 2010 and as Financial Reporting Manager since April 2008.

Hampton Poole, currently Vice President - Corporate Controller, would be the Director of Supply Chain reporting to Jose Maria Costa, Executive Vice President - Global Operations and Supply Chain.
